Run #142 failed encryptedInteropWithElementWebBothDirections with a selenium 90s wait timeout while the runner was also building the new demo module. Passes locally in 36s against the same code (incl. the #53 hoist, which only touches events carrying m.relates_to — this test sends plain messages). Third member of the under-load flake family (#55, #56): chromium in the selenium container starves. Consider serializing the selenium e2e against the heavy compile tasks rather than bumping waits.
Recurred in run #160 ('Element Web must show katrix's message decrypted', 120s await) — the build now carries four selenium/synapse e2e suites and chromium starves under the parallel compile load; the same test passes locally in 36s on the same commit. Interop awaits bumped 120→240s as a stopgap; the structural fix (serialize selenium e2es against heavy tasks, or a second runner) still stands.
