M5/D56. Applying a manifestation-shaped candidate (DNB) offers 'in Kette einhängen' (§11.4.3, builds on the #57 preview/override pattern): pick or inline-create the volume work; the connecting expression is generated mechanically (language from context, realizes + embodies) in the same change-set. Rule-based inference prefills: ordinal/series-stem from German title conventions ('Band 5', 'Bd. 5', '5'), sibling defaults. Acceptance: applying a DNB volume candidate yields a structurally complete chain (work–expression–manifestation) without leaving the worklist; observation references on every touched statement (CR-2).
