M4 exit criterion 1: viewport/growing list subscriptions per §10.6.5's list machinery, meeting NFR-1 (<1 s to interactive on the 5k-room fixture), gate-verified in CI like the M2 benchmark. Acceptance: subscription modes work on both sync strategies; the 5k-room fixture measurement lands in the CI gate, not a one-off run.
